The MVCI (Military Vehicle Club of Ireland) is an all Ireland Military Vehicle Club that was set up in the Curragh Camp in 1996 by individuals from both the North and South of Ireland. The MVCI is an area of the MVT (Military Vehicle Trust) and is affiliated to the Irish Vintage Society. The MVCI and the UMVC are co affiliated. The ILV is affiliated to the MVCI.
The aims of the MVCI are to support the Restoration, Preservation and Display of Military Vehicles. You don`t need to have a vehicle to become a member, you only need to have an interest in Military Vehicles. There is no commercial or political involvement in the Club and the proceeds of our Shows are donated to Charity.
While many members purchase and/or restore vehicles and display them at Shows, we are not a Re Enactment Group. Many of our members do conduct Living History displays and are in involved in Re Enactment and we support Military Heritage, Living History and Re Enactment throughout the Island.

The Club operates under a Constitution and Code of Conduct. The Committees main role is to let Members know what Events are on and to try and get as many Military Vehicles, Military Displays and Military Re Enactors as possible to the various Shows throughout the Island. We work closely with other Military Clubs and using the “scratching one another’s back” system, turn out as many vehicles as possible when another Group are running an Event and they in turn do the same for us. There is no fee or charge involved although a cup of tea and a sandwich goes a long way.

Using this web site and our Newsletter, we let our Members and the public know what Events are on. Another important thing we do is to put likeminded people in contact with one another e.g. if a Club Member or a member of the public wants to know where he can get a starter motor for a particular Military Vehicle, we will put him in touch with someone who knows. We do not sell vehicles, parts or equipment. Our Members may use this site to advertise their vehicles.

We have 120 or so Members spread around the Island and you are welcome to contact any of them directly or you can contact the Committee and we will put you in touch with the Members nearest you or with those involved in the period you are interested in.
